Review: First Testing Post with MarsEdit

mainwindow2 Review: First Testing Post with MarsEdit

This is a testing post using a Mac OS X software called MarsEdit 2.2.2. I have been using this software on and off for the past couple years. I had a free license of MarsEdit awhile back when the author gave it free to me due to my bug report to a version of Windows Mobile NetNewsWire feed reader.

One of the things I like ecto the most is the Rich Text Editing. It seems MarsEdit does not provide Rich Text Editing and forces me to write in HTML. It’s very painful for me because my rusted HTML coding skill.

OK, let’s see if this post can be published to WordPress without problem or not.

The result is still not pretty but a lot better than ecto. For some reason, the first character of the post is deleted and broken my HTML img tag. I have to use WordPress editor to fix the problem after I published the post. Yuck!!!

  1. Hi there – thanks for giving MarsEdit another try. The problems you ran into with the broken IMG tag is probably caused by a problem in your host’s server configuration. There is an issue going around right now with php and libxml. See this post for more information:

Fortunately servers are starting to get things ironed out so hopefully yours will soon.

Daniel: Thanks for providing me the solution. I will see if I can request my hosting company to update the libraries for me. I will definitely try again after the host problem has been resolved.
