iPhone 3G Backup is Very Slow AGAIN!!?!?

About a year ago, iPhone 3G and iTunes had lots of very nasty bugs. One of the problems was backup take forever (1-3 hours). The problem was fixed with iPhone 2.1. However, the problem seems come back again!!! I’m using iPhone 2.2.1 with iTunes 8.2. I started syncing my iPhone 3G since 11:00pm and now 1:41am. The bar stopped there and not moving anymore.

I need to goto sleep and the iPhone is my alarm clock. WTF!?!?!

Update:

It seems the backup speed returns to normal 3-5 minutes after I removed ESPN ScoreCenter.
